  1. I would truly be a lucky ducky if I had a great receipe for German Chocolate cake.

Rook No. 17 is our favorite blog because we adore the creativity of the creator.

My fondest Halloween memory is making costumes with my sister and trick or treating at the house that gave out the full size candy bars (several times).

  4. It would be just ducky if I could find a great recipe for good summer salads... And, I am not talking about all those lettuce salads (I eat lettuce every day!), I am talking about great vegetable salads, pasta salads, with all the good stuff - - cheese, nuts, and other fattening things. YUM!!
Okay, and if I get one more choice, I would just about DIE (happy, that is) if I had a good gazpacho recipe (tomato, or cucumber, or any other thing that you could gazpacho-ize!).
I hope I will see some good recipes soon, and hope I win!

My fondest Halloween memory is making Lila's first costume on the kitchen floor, not knowing anything about tuille and making her a princess skirt.

  10. Well, I am not crafty, and haven't had time to cook since I moved to the east coast, so that leaves a Halloween memory. My favorite is from the first Halloween we had in PG - Claire was five and dressed as a fairy. I had dreaded taking her out trick or treating at perfect strangers' houses in a new neighborhood. And then I realized that there were so many kids and parents out having so much fun, everyone said hello and walked along together, and the night air was so lovely and un-scary. I knew we had moved to the perfect place.
