This is the Strawberry Rhubarb Crumb Cake I made from our first berries of the season!

Picking sun-ripened strawberries at a local farm each May is one of my most cherished family traditions.

Whether straight from the field, farmer's market, or local grocer, fresh strawberries are a delight.  What will you be making with strawberries this season?  Here's what three creative birds made with theirs...

Pizza with Strawberries, Arugula and Goat Cheese

and a jellyroll-style
Vanilla Bean Strawberry Shortcake

  9. Oh my goodness, Jenn, this post is making my mouth water! There's nothing like fresh from the field strawberries, and I have such fond memories of picking them with my son when he was little. This week I've shared a seasonal blueberry bread and butter pudding (or French toast casserole - it all depends on when you want to serve it!). Thank you for hosting and have a lovely week!

  13. Jenn, since you loved the rhubarb syrup, I linked up a rhubarb fool made with the resulting rhubarb compote from the syrup-making. This was a light way to end a very decadent mothers' day feast. Enjoy!
